Guide to Extract Text from Image

Copying words from an image has never been easier. This is how we recommend you to try out our new tool for text extraction.

Copying the text or typing is too slow

You’ve got a picture that has words in it. You want those words in actual text format so you can paste them somewhere. That’s it.

When Would You Need to get Text from Image?

More often than you think:

  • Screenshot from your bank app. You want to copy the payment ID. But can’t.
  • Printed receipt from the grocery store. You need it for taxes. But don’t want to type the whole thing.
  • Class notes you photographed in a rush. Friend’s handwriting. Decent. Still not fun to type out.
  • Your boss sends a photo of a document instead of a PDF. Why do they do that.
  • A meme with a great quote. You want the quote, not the meme.
  • An old contract someone scanned 3 years ago. You just need the address.

Fastest Way: Use Our Free Tool

No downloads. No app. Just drop your image, and it spits out the text. Simple as that. No need for manual transcription

👉 Try Cancelmysub Text from Image Tool

It works with screenshots, scans, receipts, notes—basically anything that has letters in it.

The tool also supports download in word document, text document and markdown

*Other Ways

Yeah, there are options. But here’s what we think:

  • Google Docs OCR – Upload image to Google Drive → Open with Google Docs → it tries to get the text. Not bad.
  • iPhone’s Live Text – If you have an iPhone, just open the photo and hold on the text. It might highlight. Works for some stuff.
  • Microsoft OneNote – Paste an image into a note → Right-click → “Copy Text from Picture”.

These work… sometimes. But they’re slower or need setup.

Our text-from-image tool is just straight-up easy.

Stuff to Know

  • It works best on clear images.
  • Handwriting? It’ll try. Sometime may not provide good result
  • It’s safe- We don’t keep your image

Also: multilingual. English, Spanish, French, whatever.
